The Yoga of Authentic Presence
This weekend of workshops will explore what it means to abide in the authentic presence, often called “the Self,” “Buddha nature,” or one’s “most essential nature.” Each session will include a talk that expresses this Absolute viewpoint, as well as an interweaving of the principles of Yoga and Evolutionary Astrology to more fully understand just how the experience of perceived limitation can welcome the freedom that is each person’s birthright. Each asana practice will be rich, full bodied, and rejuvenating, and will be the epitome of Yoga — a truly unifying experience.
Friday, October 27th from 7:30-9:30pm:: Soothe~
This full spectrum practice will tickle the sensibilities and delight the spirit. Using each of the senses as a gateway to the unified experience, participants will be led on a yoga journey that encompasses the full realm of embodied experience. A quieting energy will set the tone with grounding postures that include hip-openers, forward folds, and twists.
Saturday, October 28th from 12:30-3pm:: Honour~
This frolicsome and upbeat Fall practice will be an encouraging afternoon that explores heart-opening from a therapeutic perspective and includes inversions.
Saturday, October 28th from 4-6:30pm:: Share~
This assisting and adjusting workshop will be a continuation of the work laid down during June’s practice, including a brief warm-up, then diving into skillful ways to assist students to actualize their potential in yoga asana.
Sunday, October 29th from 12:30-4pm:: Unify~
This balanced practice will tie together the concepts of the weekend to give participants an overall experience of vibrancy, well-being, and easefulness. The asana component will include standing postures, hip-openers and hand-balances, as well as a set of simple backbends, with calming postures to end the sequence.
